Shine green lights on the summer solstice

Raise awareness for solar power

Use a green-tinted bulb, LED light, green light filter, or cellophane or fabric placed safely over your window or lamp shade.

April 26 - Green lantern lit in Boston, 250 years after Paul Revere’s historic ride

June 21 - Summer solstice. Light your green light

Sept 21 - Sun Day global day of action (autumnal equinox). Light your green light and/or participate in a community event to raise awareness about solar power and “to celebrate a world that no longer needs fossil fuels.”

Ideally, we will shine green lights for the whole weekend (June 21-22 and September 19-21). Tape a Sun Day flyer (link) in your window, and share a photo of it. Link to more ideas about the September day of action. Link to more info about getting involved.
