Meditation with the Earth

Meditation is a grounding practice that supports us in feeling deeply, seeing clearly and taking action with wisdom and compassion. We come together to share in our love for the earth and connect with the interdependency of all life during this time of profound ecological change and sacred season for climate justice.

- Opening Invocation and Meditation led by Naropa University's Eco-Chaplain, Master of Divinity candidate Natalie Schreiber.

- Closing Dedication by David Loy, Zen teacher and author of Ecodharma: Buddhist Teachings for the Ecological Crisis.

- Music by guitarist and composer Steve Mullins

Please bring your own cushion, chair or ground pad, and layers for weather and a natural offering for the circle (seeds, leaves, rocks, etc)

Before and after the meditation, many of us will also join in the 11th Hour Calling at 14th and Spruce at 11am and Youth-Led Earth Day Protest for Climate Action from 9am-4pm at 13th and Broadway.

"The most important thing, in response to climate change, is to be willing to hear the sound of the Earth's tears through our own bodies." - Buddhist Teacher Thich Nhat Hanh.
